UK based artists, composers, sound artists and others are invited to submit proposals for a working residency utilising C&R’s multi-channel sound environment. The residency will culminate in a public exhibition as part of C&R’s public exhibition program on the 28th of October 2016.
Interested persons are invited to submit proposals for the use of the space to create new work for our state-of-the-art 13.1, 3D sound system. We are particularly interested in proposals that imaginatively challenge the norms of multi-channel sound art and as such welcome the participation of artists and musicians from a wide variety of backgrounds.
The accepted artist will receive technical orientation, access to the space and a fee of £500.
New Extended Deadline for submissions: 23.00, 5th September 2016
All submissions and contact will be by email to firstname.lastname@example.org that includes the following information in the body:
(Do not attach samples or documents). All work samples must be available online, and all information must be submitted in the body of the email.
Finding a place to stay for the term of the residency is the responsibility of the artist. C&R offers free use of the space, an orientation session with a technician, marketing and publicity and production support for the resultant exhibition.
Additional technical tuition is available but must be paid for on an hourly basis by the artist. C&R is happy to support applications to sponsoring organisations for travel funding etc.
This opportunity is open to UK based individuals only.
