The faint ummmh is a new interactive installation combining sculpture and sound. Sourcing material from interviews with South East London residents, the work focuses on the production and experience of low-pitched sounds from generators, chargers, electronic devices or other sources in our living environment. The installation contains an archive of sung, synthesized and narrated hums, which are made audible by touching individually crafted objects with distinct tactile features. The project is a collaboration between Nicholas Stuecklin, Oya Kozacioglu, Kineret Lourie and Ariel Caine.
